Hello!

I'm Cindy Hoang. I'm a painter, and I find joy in both character design and background painting. Starting with the love for playful mangas and hand-drawn animated shows, my passion for art has been growing by each drawing.

I was born in a much smaller country in South East Asia, Vietnam. Spending 17 years of my youth soaking in the heavy winter rain and swiping my sweat from the intensive summer heat, Vietnamese people and culture hold a big place in my heart. They taught me to always remember and honor my root no matter where I choose to settle. Now, as The States has become the cradle of my passion, I wish to continue to learn to harmonize what I've given from both cultures and to let my personal experiences shine through each and every piece.

An artist once said, "steal life from life." As soon as I learned to build a personal connection to a story, the characters and the moments that were depicted became so much more relatable and inspiring. While visualizing the world I wanted and liked people to see,  I realized how much I love to connect to others. I love to see them react to my art, my characters, and my stories. Naturally, it became my artistic mission: be inspired and strive to inspire.
