The Oz
"The Oz" is a humble attempt to reimagine the wonderful tale of The Wizard of Oz. Inspired by Colonial Hong Kong's aesthetics during the years 1950s, the story takes place in a ramshackle but lively fishing village on the isolated island of Tai O where Dorothy, now a young fisher named Mei - Lien Ngan, lives and fishes with her family.

Journey to Oz
The building of Oz is the exploration of a place opposite to that of Tai : mesmerizing, luxurious, and out-of-reach. The grand city stands on the very top of Victoria Peak, high above all. Tall, elegant, and highly decorative structures combined together create the look of Oz. The aim is to overwhelm anyone who dares to wander this place, including the little heart of our village little girl, Mie-lien.
